Agree the design before you pay for the build.

Dove365 maps how your team works today and designs the Power Platform solution on paper first, so scope, security and cost are settled before delivery starts.

Three stages, before anything is built

The costliest problems are designed in at the start and found at the end. Each stage removes some of that risk.

Assess

Where you are today

We map the systems, workarounds and friction in how your organisation works now.

  • Current state assessment
  • Process mapping
  • Data review
  • Stakeholder workshops
  • Pain point analysis

Design

What will be built

We turn that picture into documents you can review, challenge and approve before delivery starts.

  • Solution design document
  • Data model
  • Architecture diagrams
  • Security design
  • Integration and reporting design

Plan

How it gets delivered

We make delivery predictable, with scope, order and risks agreed in the open.

  • Statement of work
  • Delivery roadmap and milestones
  • Dependencies and assumptions
  • Risk register
  • Effort estimate

How the pieces fit together

Every solution is built the same way, in layers on Microsoft Power Platform. Each layer does one job, which is what lets a system start small and grow.

Add people, processes, reports or AI later without disturbing the foundation. A system built in layers is one you extend, not one you eventually replace.

Collaborative solution design workshop in progress
  1. Your teamsOn a computer, in a browser or on a phone, whatever their role
  2. Power AppsThe screens people use, shaped around each person's job
  3. DataverseThe secure database underneath, and the one place the facts live
  4. Power AutomateThe steps that run themselves: approvals, notifications and hand-offs
  5. SharePointWhere documents are stored, with the same access rules as the rest of Microsoft 365
  6. Microsoft 365Sign-in, email, Teams and the tools your people already use
  7. Your other systemsFinance and other software you rely on, connected cleanly

What you receive

The output of design is not a demo. It is a set of clear documents that you approve before delivery begins.

Solution design document

What will be built, how it behaves and where its boundaries are.

Data model

Dataverse tables and relationships that reflect how the business works.

Architecture diagrams

How the parts fit together across Power Platform and Microsoft 365.

Security design

Role-based access and Microsoft Entra ID sign-in, designed in from the start.

Business process flows

Guided processes that keep users on the right path.

Integration design

A considered way to connect the other systems you depend on.

Reporting strategy

What leadership needs to see, and where the numbers come from.

Migration plan

A staged plan for moving existing data, with quality decisions made in the open.

Design is where risk comes out

Project risk

The big unknowns are settled before anything is built.

Unexpected cost

Scope and effort are understood and agreed in advance.

Scope creep

A signed-off design keeps everyone aiming at the same goal.

Rework

Building the right thing once is quicker than building it twice.

Questions about design first

What teams ask before they commission a design phase.

Ask us something else
Why not just start building?

Building first feels faster but rarely is, because the cost of changing a solution climbs once it exists. A short design phase raises the hard questions while they are still cheap to answer.

Can we buy the design on its own?

Yes. Discovery, architecture and design are a standalone engagement. You receive the full package and can deliver with your own team or another partner, although most clients carry on with us.

What do we have at the end?

A reviewable package: current state assessment, process maps, solution design, data model, architecture and security design, integration and reporting strategy, and an implementation plan.

How long does the design take?

It depends on the size of the solution, but design work is focused and time-boxed. We agree the scope and the timeline with you up front, as a fixed price.

Does a good design make AI easier later?

Yes. A clean, governed Dataverse foundation is what Copilot needs to be useful and safe, so AI becomes a natural next step instead of a rebuild.

Know what you want to build, but not how?

Tell us the outcome you need. We will scope a fixed-price design phase that gets you to a plan you can commit to.
